The purpose of this activity is to enable the learner to increase their knowledge of the AORN guidelines for high-level disinfection.
Overview
This is a four-hour in-service on how to implement the AORN guidelines for high-level disinfection.
Outcomes
1. Describe when items may be processed by manual chemical high- level disinfection
2. Identify hazards associated with manual chemical high-level disinfection
3. Describe practices for safe use of high-level disinfectants
