Overview
This online course covers issues related to the quality management function in an ASC. The course content provides a structured and systematic process for administrators to use when planning and implementing quality improvement initiatives. Six phases of the improvement process are explained, and examples provided. A variety of methods and tools for improving health care processes in ambulatory settings are also included. Administrators will learn how to identify quality improvement opportunities, how to form work teams and two proven strategies for studying current processes. A practical application activity allows administrators to identify an opportunity in their ASC and plan for improvements.
