This webinar provides guidance for the perioperative registered nurse (RN) caring for a patient who is receiving local-only anesthesia by injection, infiltration, tumescent anesthesia, or topical application.

- Describe the signs and symptoms and treatment of local anesthetic toxicity.
- Discuss considerations for the number of nurses needed during a local-only anesthesia procedure.
- Describe the signs and symptoms of an allergy to a local anesthetic.
