Outcome
The learner will have the knowledge and confidence to implement evidence-based and recommended practice from the AORN Guideline for Safe Environment of Care associated with hazards that impact safety in the perioperative area; strategies that reduce the risk for injury related to specific hazards in the perioperative practice setting; and regulations for maintaining a safe perioperative environment of care.

Objectives
Upon completion of this module, the participant should be able to:

1. Identify various hazards that impact safety in the perioperative area.
2. Identify evidence-based practices to reduce the risk for injury related to specific hazards in the perioperative practice setting.
