This Hot Topic will review respiratory protection program regulations and standards and how they should be implemented in the ambulatory surgery centers. There will be a review of how fit testing is incorporated into the over-all respiratory protection program. This presentation will encompass types of respiratory protection that requires fit testing, when fit testing is required, where medical surveillance fits into the program and methods of fit testing. Finally, there will be a review of fit testing guidance during the Covid-19 pandemic.
